It was such a joy to see all of my friends again the other night, when we convened for the first time in far too long for dinner at Lucky Dumplings in Great Neck, NY.  I had gotten takeout from Lucky Dumplings a few weeks prior, shortly after their Grand Opening, and was so impressed that I implored my friends to join me for a formal Chinese Quest review!  I was anxious to hear what they thought, as the last few restaurants we visited had been a little disappointing.  Would history repeat itself?  Or were we going to get LUCKY tonight?

A slew of new banquet-style Chinese restaurants recently opened along Northern Boulevard from Flushing to Bayside. Canton Manor is the eastern-most restaurant, and we dined there the other night. Always crowded when you drive by, and at times many families await outside for a table to free up. Everyone is Asian. It's gotta be good? Right?
