It was such a joy to see all of my friends again the other night, when we convened for the first time in far too long for dinner at Lucky Dumplings in Great Neck, NY.  I had gotten takeout from Lucky Dumplings a few weeks prior, shortly after their Grand Opening, and was so impressed that I implored my friends to join me for a formal Chinese Quest review!  I was anxious to hear what they thought, as the last few restaurants we visited had been a little disappointing.  Would history repeat itself?  Or were we going to get LUCKY tonight?

Yet another authentic Chinese restaurant has opened in Great Neck!  How exciting!!  Wokobowl, Modern Chinese bowls, opened a few months ago at 69 Middle Neck Rd, Great Neck Plaza, NY 11021, and I have been yearning for so long to try it!  And I finally got my wish the other day.  They have a few tables, but I would classify this as a mostly takeout Chinese restaurant. With a short list of sit-down "authentic" Chinese restaurants to choose from in Columbus, OH, one really caught my eye. Ding Ho. Cantonese cuisine in a very very old-school Chinese restaurant. The time was finally right for The Chinese Quest to review New Fu Run in Great Neck, NY. Newly opened F-A-N Chinese Restaurant, located at 534 Commack Road, Deer Park, NY, specializes in authentic Szechuan cuisine. The space is small, nicely decorated, and the English speaking waitstaff are friendly and helpful. The night we were there had a nice mix of Chinese and Caucasian customers. You Garden Xiao Long Bao, sister Chinese restaurant of Shanghai You Garden Dumpling House in Flushing, opened a few months ago in Bayside. What better way to celebrate the Dumpling King's birthday than a trip to an authentic Dumpling House. We went to the recently opened Yum Yum Dumplings in Centereach, NY. Did it meet the Dumping King's very discerning palate? Well... you'll just have to read the article to find out!
