Thank You!  谢谢  תודה

It’s not just about the food.

During the Nazi persecution, when the rest of the world turned their back on the Jews, the Chinese were there for us.

In the lead up to the Second World War, thousands of European Jewish refugees sought refuge in Shanghai, one of the only cities in the world that did not require an entry visa. Shanghai provided a safe haven to these refugees, who were supported in their struggle for survival by the existing Jewish communities in both Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Fondly,

Mee Tsu Yan
