A mainstay on the south shore of Long Island, Danny's Chinese Kitchen gets stellar reviews on Google and Yelp!  When the announcement came months ago that they were going to open a restaurant in Roslyn, NY, I was so excited.  The Grand Opening couldn't come soon enough. When the roads were deemed safe, I placed my order and drove over to pick it up. This one dish made it all worthwhile!

Royal Dim Sum, an authentic Cantonese Chinese restaurant, recently opened at the Samanea New York Mall (formerly known as the Source Mall, or more informally as the Fortunoff Mall) in Westbury, NY. Though not a formal review by The Chinese Quest, The Dumpling King, his girlfriend, and I dined there and were motivated enough to post this review.

A slew of new banquet-style Chinese restaurants recently opened along Northern Boulevard from Flushing to Bayside. Canton Manor is the eastern-most restaurant, and we dined there the other night. Always crowded when you drive by, and at times many families await outside for a table to free up. Everyone is Asian. It's gotta be good? Right? O Mandarin, in Hicksville, NY, opened a year and a half ago. We dined there a year ago. And now we are prepared to tell you the story of their magnificent Chinese restaurant. They have a sister restaurant, by the same name, in Hartsdale, NY, which has been packing in dining patrons for years. From all of the wood, and some of the Chefs and Wait Staff, that were imported from China, no expense was spared in its construction nor in it's food. Tri Dim Shanghai, a Chinese restaurant on the upper east side of Manhattan at 1378 3rd Ave. New York, NY 10075 came highly recommended. We came, we ate, and we were blown away. Kung Fu Xiao Long Bao, a Shanghainese Chinese Restaurant located in Flushing, NY came touted to us as having THE BEST Soup Dumplings.  Even better than the Soup Dumplings at Joe's Shanghai.  That's quite a bold statement!  Were they?  You'll have to read on to find out if we agreed!
