Lately, I’ve been eating a lot of soup dumplings at many different Chinese restaurants. In fact, I do every chance I get. And I’ve introduced soup dumplings to a few people who never had them before. Realizing not everyone knows how to eat soup dumplings without either scorching their mouths or, worse yet, getting the soup all over their spoon or plate and not in their mouths, led me to post this tutorial.
So as a public service announcement, we bring to you the video below on how to properly eat soup dumplings . It was filmed at one of the most famous Chinese restaurants for soup dumplings, Joe’s Shanghai.
We first reviewed Joe’s Shanghai of Flushing at the end of August 2013 – Which is currently sitting atop our Rankings of the Chinese restaurants on all of Long Island (yes, it’s in Flushing, and Flushing is in Queens… but Queens is all part of that one very long Long Island.)
Now we’re going to potentially save your life. If you’ve never eaten soup dumplings before, you MUST watch this video. You’ll be glad you did.
You can thank us later (post a comment). And also, please let us know if you agree with our review.
Humbly submitted for your consumption,
