Dinner Conversation

Aside from Chinese food, what makes a great dining experience? Conversation course! You know we are always sending you the best Chinese restaurant reviews and recommendations, along with some really great articles that interest those who love Chinese food. But something is missing, isn’t it? Conversation. Yes that’s the missing ingredient!

So here at The Chinese Quest, we are going to make sure that the conversation is going to flow freely from here on in. Starting today, we have completely reworked the way we handle comments on our blog posts. And how did we do that? Just read on and see.

Let me tell you how we’re going to do it

The solution seems obvious when you think about it – you usually get a blog post update via email, get notifications of new Tweets, Facebook statuses, Google+ interactions, etc., via email, and you get notifications of new comments in a blog post via email too.

Taking that to its natural next step, our new commenting system enables readers and commenters to reply to a blog post and/or comment via email now too! Instead of having to be at point of origin (the blog post itself), our new experience is going to seem pretty seamless:

  • You receive the latest blog post via email from favorite blogger (us!)
  • You read the post in your email inbox, and want to leave a comment
  • Instead of flipping through to the blog, you hit your emails “Reply” button
  • You type your comment and hit “Send”.

And that’s it – job done! Once you hit send, the email is converted into a comment and appears on the post. If it’s in reply to an existing comment, it appears after that.

Commenting here is now super simple. Your first comment can be left in the comments box at the end of this post.  But then you’ll start receiving replies via email. Simply hit “Reply” to that, type your response, hit “Send” and you’re done!

I’m going to start us off with a quick comment to get the conversation started. Please scroll down to check out my comment and post your own. Let’s get this discussion going!

What’s on your mind?
